Our Beliefs in God
At Grace Christian Church, we believe in the one true God who is the Creator of all things. We worship and serve a loving and merciful God who sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die for our sins and offer us salvation. Our faith is rooted in the Holy Trinity - the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. (Deuteronomy 6:4)
The Importance of Scripture
As a church, we hold the Bible as the inspired and infallible Word of God. We believe in the authority of Scripture and strive to live out its teachings in our daily lives. Through Sunday Worship Services and Bible Study Groups, we seek to deepen our understanding of God's Word and grow in our faith. (2 Timothy 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:20-21).
Creation
We believe God created the heavens and the earth out of nothing by his spoken word. He created mankind in his image, male and female to glorify him and enjoy fellowship with him. (Genesis 1:1-31, John 1:1-3 Colossians 1:16-17).
The Fall of Man
We that man was created in the image of God but fell into sin through disobedience, bringing death and separation from God. As a result, all people are born with a sinful nature and in need of salvation. (Genesis 1:26-27, Genesis 3:1-24, Romans 3:23, Romans 5:12).
Jesus Christ
We believe in Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, the only begotten Son of God incarnate, Not created but God in the form of man, His sinless life, His miracles, That Jesus came into the world to reveal God to man and to offer the only way of salvation to restore man's relationship with God that has been broken by man's sin. We believe of his death on the cross for our sins, His resurrection and his ascension into Heaven. (John 1:1-14, Matthew 1:18-23, 1 Corinthians 15:3-4).
Salvation
We believe that salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Jesus Christ alone. The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Salvation can not be earned by works but is given freely by God's grace to all who repent and believe in Christ. (Romans 6:23, Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 10:9-10).
The Holy Spirit
That Holy Spirit indwells everyone who is a true believer in Jesus Christ, revealing God to them through His Word. Guiding them and producing gifts in them to enable God's purposes to be fulfilled in and through their lives. (John 16:7-15, Acts 1:8, Ephesians 1:13-14).
Baptism
We believe in a believers baptism by full immersion in water, as a public testimony of faith and belief in the one true saviour Jesus Christ.
The Church
We believe the church is the body of Christ, composed of all true believers. It exists to serve and glorify God, edify believers and spread the Gospel. (Matthew 28:19-20, 1 Corinthians 12: 12-27).
